Alonso's back!!!

My favourite Formula 1 driver, Fernando Alonso, and his team, Renault, are back! And that in his home race in Barcelona, Spain.

Alonso today almost got pole position after a hard season so far. Kimi Raikkonen of Ferrari just beat him to pole, so he starts in 2nd place.

I'm totally ecstatic, and it ought to be a great race tomorrow.

Massa takes 2nd Bahrain victory

Felipe Massa from Brazil won the Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix for the second year in a row today in his Ferrari.

His teammate, Kimi Räikkönen, took second, giving Ferrari a solid 1-2 finish.

Lewis Hamilton (McLaren) drove into the back of Fernando Alonso's Renault, causing him to finish outside of the points in 13th place.

Kubica takes first ever pole

Robert Kubica from Poland took his first ever pole position in Formula 1 at the Bahrain Grand Prix today.

This was also BMW's maiden pole position.

Felipe Massa (Ferrari) will start alongside Kubica in 2nd place, and Lewis Hamilton (McLaren) behind him in 3rd.

The race starts at 13:30 South African time tomorrow. Don't miss it!

Liverpool and Arsenal draw again

For the second time in the space of 3 days Liverpool drew 1-1 with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

Peter Crouch scored for Liverpool in the first half, but Nicklas Bendtner equalised for Arsenal in the second half.

No other goals were scored.
The 2 teams meet again at Anfield on Tuesday night for the 2nd leg of their quarter final clash, with Liverpool at an advantage with an away goal.
